A memorandum of understanding has been signed between Nepal Gold, Silver, Gems and Jewellery Federation and Jyoti Bikas Bank to collaborate for mutual institutional benefits and business promotion today, Ashad 20, 2078. The memorandum of understanding has been jointly signed by Federation President Ramesh Maharjan and Bank Deputy Chief Executive Officer Paras Raj Kandel. According to the agreement, the bank will provide concessional loan facilities to the jewelry entrepreneurs affiliated with the federation. The federation will facilitate this work. The bank will provide professional loans, women entrepreneurial loans, educated youth self-employment loans, and youth project loans for those returning from abroad, etc., based on the law, rules and standards. Special discounts will be provided on the service charges charged by the bank while providing loans. The bank will provide QR codes to retail jewellers and open zero balance current accounts to facilitate digital banking. At the request of the Federation, the bank will also run various capacity building programmes for jewellers from its “Our Development Promotion Fund” under Corporate Social Responsibility.
